A classic tale was brought to the big screen. It was a good film and wasn't what I expected at all. Sherlock Holmes and his assistant John Watson were given a new life because the actors portrayed them as more than just "dorky" detectives trying to solve a problem. The movie was full of action scenes and the characters were clever, witty and each had superlative fighting techniques. The characters themselves were not the only things depicted differently. Overall I could imagine seeing the characters wear those
sorts of garments in the original short stories. Although Holmes and Watson had a more laid back, edgy look. I really like the sunglasses, fur and corduroy jacket ...also the hats Holmes wore. The villain had a leather jacket that I liked too. Adler wore a gorgeous jacket that cut around the bustle that reached all the way to the ground. (she also wore pants which was unheard of back then.)
The remake of the wardrobe was excellent.
