Style

Old fashioned fun

I liked the industrial feel of this store. There were all sorts of metal machinery and parts throughout. Some pieces I liked are the shoes above. They look antique which seems like a style that is well on its way to coming back.

Casual

My favorite pieces are the sandels with scarf like straps.  I also like the look below. I like how it has simple yet the hat adds something to the look which asserts the idea..less is more.

HitRecord!

Joseph Gordon - Levitt known from Inception or in earlier years of 3rd Rock from the Sun, 10 Things I Hate About You or 500 Days of Summer created a organization that is a community of creative minds. These people can collaborate to make films that could possibly make it to the big screen.  I heard of his organization and I thought I would post it for all those folks who love making films, music, and write or work in other entertainment/creative genres.

Weave work

Cool window display at Anthropology in Rockefeller Center!

Museum looks

I like their choice of color and creativity. The huge bag on the last photo is different than most bags I have seen. Her shoes also remind me of something from the turn of the century. The first look puts together neutral colors and different prints with a touch of yellow. Each woman has their own way of dressing. These looks were taken at the MET and MoMa.

Sidewalk Catwalk

This is the Sidewalk Catwalk located on Broadway. I was really happy when I saw this when I walked past! It is a great way to promote the Garment Center, fashion in the US, and in New York. Each mannequin is dressed by 35 designers including Kenneth Cole, Jason Wu, Isabel Toledo and Betsy Johnson. One of the things the designers would have to consider is what kind of materials they would have to use that would hold up well against the outdoor elements. . I like that this was made into public art installation because it becomes accessible to any passersby and is free. Public art in New York is exciting to see :]

Fabulous Desserts

One of my favorite treats. :] The cupcakes were huge... topped and filled with tons of sugar! I went for the classic cupcake with just strawberry frosting on top.The Black and White cookies are also a staple dessert of New York. They also made a themed cupcake called Promises, Promises; inspired from the Broadway show. I really enjoyed that show..we had fun singing along with the songs. These lovely cupcakes and cookies can be found at a shop called Crumbs.

subway shoes

These shoes are interesting because they are athletic wear but they can be worn with clothing that isn't necessarily athletic. These are great options for men who want to be fashionable and comfortable in sneakers at the same time. The leather sneakers are great and my favorite of the two pairs.

para siempre

This is Forever 21 in Time Square! It just had the grand opening June 24th. It has four floors of awesomeness :D The way they designed the displays in the store was great! The huge purse, mascara, and lipstick where rather show stopping. I adored the studded walls .. I want them :P
