William Rast

Long time friends Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala decided to team up and create a clothing line of their own...but who are the people behind the seams designing? A lot of celebs are making clothing lines (Jessica Simpson, Daisy Fuentes, Paris Hilton etc.) and I was curious if they are really designing or hiring designers. Justin has said, "The way I work with them is [I] give them ideas of lifestyle..." So in a MTV article I found that the designers of William Rast are Johan and Marcella Lindeberg. They take the design theme Justin has, and makes the design details of his clothing line. He has a vision and they are making the vision wearable. What do they want to show to their customers? What do they want to keep consistant throughout the line? What fabrics are most appealing? Do they want to sell tight fit clothing or loose fit? What is the color story? These are questions they are possibly thinking about.
